The Otters will head into their fourth season with a new ownership group at the helm. After founding the team and operating it for the last three seasons, Michael and Elizabeth Balluff have chosen to pass on the organization to a group made up of local figures.
The new ownership group is made up of nine members from the surrounding region and is led by Otters Head Coach David Strickland.
David Strickland on the ownership change:
“We are excited to pick up and continue what Michael Balluff has laid as a great foundation with the Otters. Our vision is to continue the growth of the Otters brand as a community of soccer and family. Over the past four years the team has continued to climb up the standings and improve. We are looking forward to becoming a leader franchise in the USL League Two.”
Michael Balluff on the new ownership group:
“While Elizabeth and I have greatly enjoyed getting to know the players and working with our amazing coaching staff, we felt it was important for the Otters to take the next step in growth which would require more than we could give. David Strickland has been a tremendous asset to us running the program and we feel certain that he and the new ownership group will continue to create an exciting experience for everyone, on and off the field. We look forward to watching the Otters Program grow in the future.”
The new group is excited to continue to grow the Otter’s brand throughout the region. As the next season gets closer the Otters will be announcing several additions to the fan experience!
